Purpose:
- to understand that separate units from each Numeral
- to arrange the Numerals in their correct order
- to place the proper quantity beneath each Numeral
- visual and muscular impression of odd and even numbers
Age:
3.5 - 4 years old Material:
- a set of Numeral (or Number Cards) from 1 to 10
- a set of 55 counters
Note:
To maintain student interest, it is advised to periodically change the Counters. You can also co-ordinate them with special events throughout the year; e.g. in the winter you could use 55 snowmen. |
